# Use Fused Cloud

> Create a hosted workspace with an Engine and database managed by Fused.

Fused Cloud provisions an isolated Engine and a managed PostgreSQL database for your workspace. You do not need to install the Engine, provision PostgreSQL, or create an `engine.yaml` file. Fused manages runtime licensing and encryption configuration for you.

## Create your workspace

**1. Choose Fused Cloud**

[Create your Fused account](https://usefused.com/signup). Enter your account or team name and work email, then select **Deploy in Fused Cloud**.

Choose **Your cloud address** and complete email verification and signup.

**2. Wait for provisioning**

The signup page shows deployment progress and updates automatically while Fused creates your Engine, storage, routing, and managed database.

Wait until the page shows **Engine is ready**. If it shows **Needs attention**, resolve the reported provisioning issue before continuing.

**3. Open your Engine**

Click **Open Fused Engine** and sign in to finish activation. Save this workspace URL; it is the address you use for the dashboard and CLI.

You can now enable services and create Apps in the dashboard. To work from your terminal, continue with the CLI setup below.

## Connect the CLI

Install the CLI:

```bash theme={null}
curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Usefused/cli/main/install.sh | bash
fused-cli --version
```

Replace the example URL with the workspace URL from **Open Fused Engine**:

```bash theme={null}
fused-cli config set engine-url https://your-workspace.run.usefused.com
fused-cli login
fused-cli whoami
```

Approve the sign-in request in your browser. `whoami` confirms the active credential and workspace. You do not need to supply the Engine's license key to sign in.

> [!NOTE]
>
> On a machine without a browser, run `fused-cli login --no-browser` and open the printed URL on another device. An existing `FUSED_ENGINE_URL` environment variable overrides the saved URL; update or unset it when switching workspaces.

The CLI uses your workspace's **HTTP** URL. Generated SDKs use its **gRPC** address; copy that address from your Engine's connection details instead of deriving it from the dashboard URL.
